C-Mac: Mets showing they don't care about 2024 success

C-Mac has been critical of the Mets offseason since their early signings, and missing out on Justin Turner did nothing to change his opinion.

“This is the richest owner in baseball…the Orioles just sold for $1.7 billion. He could buy the Orioles 13 times over,” C-Mac said. “If Justin Turner, for one year, is going to help this team…if you’re not willing to spend that money and improve the offense this year, what are you doing? You need a bat, a veteran bat.”

David Stearns told the public that he expects the Mets to contend for a playoff spot in 2024, but C-Mac says his actions are showing that he is not backing up those words.

“It is saying they don’t care about this season…it’s puzzling to me that they seem to want to do nothing to help impact this team, this year,” C-Mac said.

“He’ll tell you ‘we expect to contend,’ but he won’t lift a damn finger to bolster this offense and do something.”
