C-Mac opened Monday morning’s show by ripping the NCAA Selection Committee after both St. John’s and Seton Hall were left out of the NCAA Tournament, a big surprise to many given their favorable analytic standing.

“I don’t know if it’s ever been more obvious that people who get together in a room to make a decision are really inept at doing so,” C-Mac said. “I know, here in New York, we are biased to the Big East, but this has been the best conference - the second best conference - in basketball all year.”

St. John’s was 32nd in NET rankings, yet weren’t even included in the committee’s first four out. C-Mac couldn’t believe the committee could miss as bad as it did when it came to the Red Storm.

“There’s no way in hell this conference only gets three teams in when the Mountain West gets six,” C-Mac said.
