The Jets have found their backup to Aaron Rodgers, reportedly inking Tyrod Taylor to a two-year deal to fill a spot of great importance on the roster.

C-Mac likes the move, as he declared QB2 to be the most important roster spot to address this offseason, but he does have one concern when it comes to Taylor.

“He got a concussion last year, he’s dealt with some injuries,” C-Mac said. “He plays in these games, and he ends up getting knocked out. I don’t love the stability of it.

“I was really hoping for someone like a Minshew or Brissett to really come in and stabilize things if Aaron Rodgers goes down. But if Rodgers goes down, you’re screwed anyway.”

Still, despite the health concerns, Taylor represents a massive upgrade from Zach Wilson, and should be able to keep the team afloat should Rodgers miss any time in 2024.

“He is the epitome of the backup quarterback,” C-Mac said. “It’s pretty much as good as it gets, except for the injury history.”
