The Jets will likely be down another key offensive starter on Sunday, in addition to quarterback Zach Wilson.
Wide receiver Corey Davis suffered a hip flexor injury during Thursday’s practice, and his outlook to play on Sunday is bleak, head coach Robert Saleh told reporters on Friday.

“It’s not looking good,” Saleh said. “We’re still holding on for hope, but it’s trending in that direction.”
Davis would represent a huge loss for New York’s offensive attack, as he leads the team with 24 catches and 349 receiving yards. He has also accounted for nearly all of Gang Green’s scoring through the air this season, logging for of the team’s five receiving touchdowns so far this season.
“Obviously, he’s a stud,” Saleh said. “It gives Denzel Mims an opportunity to step in…along with the rotation we have with Elijah and Keelan Cole, so it gives guys opportunities to step up.”

Mike White, who will be under center in place of the injured Wilson, will now have an even bigger challenge without the team’s top receiving threat when New York takes on the favored Bengals on Sunday.
