(670 The Score) The Cubs have hired Daniel Moskos as their assistant pitching coach, they announced Monday.
Moskos, 35, was a minor league pitching coach in the Yankees’ system for the past two seasons. He worked at Double-A Somerset in 2021, where his team’s 3.38 ERA was the best among all clubs at that level. Prior to joining the Yankees, Moskos worked at Driveline Baseball in Seattle.
Moskos was the No. 4 overall pick of the Pirates in the 2007 MLB amateur draft. He made 31 appearances at the MLB level, with all of those coming for Pittsburgh in 2011.
