Evan: Kelly Oubre made 'big mistake' by ripping Knicks celebrity row at MSG

Kelly Oubre praised the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden when asked about the Knicks home crowd before game one on Saturday, but he also threw some shade at an MSG staple.

“They’re going to give celebrities those $100,000 free tickets just to be there and not care about the game,” Oubre said in between compliments about the Knicks fans’ passion and the bright lights of the World’s Most Famous Arena.

Evan says that was a big-time mistake from Oubre.

“He took a shot at Ben Stiller, Jerry Ferrara, and Aaron Rodgers when he shows up,” Evan said. “That’s personal. That’s a big mistake by Kelly Oubre. You know why? Now those celebrities are gonna taunt the crap out of you. Just wait.”

The crowd will already be electric on Saturday, but Evan thinks there will be an extra boost from the courtside seats now that Oubre made those comments about the famous celebrities that take in the games in the front row.

“That was a below-the-belt rip,” Evan said. “You can’t go after the celebrities at Madison Square Garden.”
