New Giants tight end Ricky Seals-Jones said all the right things during his introductory press conference, but fans of Big Blue couldn’t look past his controversial attire.
With many Giants fans also supporting the Yankees on the baseball side of the city, the overwhelming reaction was not a good one when Seals-Jones sat behind a Giants microphone sporting an Astros hat, the Yanks hated rival given their recent postseason battles shrouded in controversy following Houston’s sign-stealing scandal that also impacted the Mets, as their recently-hired manager Carlos Beltran was quickly replaced by Luis Rojas after Beltran’s role in the scandal was revealed.
Seals-Jones is a native of Sealy, Texas, less than 50 miles from Houston, and attended college at Texas A&M.
