The Giants have reportedly found their next head coach.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Big Blue is finalizing an agreement with John Harbaugh after the former Ravens head coach visited the Giants facility on Wednesday.
Per Schefter, the deal is not finalized and there are still plenty of details to iron out, but the consensus is Harbaugh wants to coach the Giants, and New York wants him, and will work to finalize the deal “as soon as possible.”
Harbaugh, according to multiple reports, left New Jersey without an agreement, but clearly, it didn’t take him much time to decide that the Giants were the team he wanted to coach after an 18-year tenure in Baltimore.
Harbaugh was initially expected to be a top candidate for the Falcons and Titans job, but those interviews will seemingly no longer be necessary.
Harbaugh, 63, has a Super Bowl title on his resume, 12 playoff appearances, and a 180-113 record, all with the Ravens. Now, he will look to lead a once-proud franchise back to prominence.
