It was a short and quiet postgame for the Giants on Saturday, who were ready to put their last-second loss to Minnesota behind them to get home for Christmas and then prepare for a potential playoff berth-clincher on New Year’s Day at MetLife Stadium against Indianapolis.

So, in the spirit of Christmas, here’s a Giants quotebook from the game to put under your tree!

Brian Daboll on the game result: “Give them credit, they made a few more plays than we did. You have two turnovers and a blocked punt…our guys are resilient, but you can’t have those mistakes. Both turnovers took away at least three points minimum, and the blocked punt, they’re in our territory. They made the plays they had to make to win the game, and a long field goal…great kick by the kicker.”

Daniel Jones on the chance to go into OT: “I thought we were playing well, and the opportunity to play OT I thought was a good one for us. Credit to them, great play at the end and great kick.”

Saquon Barkley on thinking the same: “I’m thinking we’re going to get the rock or go to OT. That’s the belief we have in each other, and sometimes it goes the other way. We played a really good team today and fought hard, but the Vikings have a heck of a team, and they made more plays than us.”

Julian Love on all the self-inflicted wounds: “It shows a lot about who we are as a team and how resilient we are to come back, but we didn’t play a clean game. That’s what games down the stretch come down to: mistakes and not capitalizing on opportunities.

Daniel Bellinger on his early fumble: "I had it, I just need to lock it up. I think I was being too careless with it and they punched it out."

Daboll on having Cor’Dale Flott’s INT overturned: “I think it’s a pick until they look at it and say it’s not. That’s what they did.”

Jones on his burgeoning bond with receiver Isaiah Hodgins: “He does a really good job, he’s where you expect him to be and does a good job getting open and making plays. He’s a smart player and a dependable guy who has done a good job for us.”

Barkley on a possible playoff rematch with Minnesota: “I’d love it. There a great team on all phases of the all, savvy vets on D and explosive players on O. We went up against a possible 1 or 2 seed in the NFC…just gotta lock in the little details and stay away from the self inflicted wounds and learn frm it. If we can do that, we can use that for momentum the rest of the way.

Bellinger on the emotional swing of the final 129 seconds: "It was rough, but that’s football. It goes up and down. We just have to make plays when they need to be made."

Love on the late TD and two-point conversion: "That juiced us up. Daniel’s a resilient guy, and the offense made a play and put us in a place where we could make a stand. That’s all you can ask down the stretch."

And finally, Daboll on not scoreboard watching on a day where a win and Detroit and Seattle losses (which both happened) would’ve clinched a playoff berth: “No I wasn’t, and now I look at it as let’s get ready for the Colts. We had some missed opportunities, so let’s fix what we need to fix and get ready for the Colts. Every game is just as important as the next. We have to make sure we do a good job of game planning, executing, and decision making.”
