How bad has the quarterback situation become for the Jets?

So bad that Gio found himself longing for Joe Flacco to return to Gang Green while watching Sunday’s NFL slate.

Flacco got the start for the injury-ravaged Browns on Sunday, and completed 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and one costly interception. Still, even with that brutal pick, Gio was wishing the Jets had Flacco in his first game in over a year instead of Tim Boyle or Trevor Siemian.

“Every team, outside of the Patriots ironically, you’re like ‘Oh my God, can we just be them?’” Gio said when comparing the Jets quarterback room to others around the league. “This is how bad the Jets quarterback situation is, that I missed Joe Flacco.”

Flacco wasn’t able to get the Browns a win, but if he was on the field with the Jets, Gio wonders if the offense could have done enough to beat the Falcons.

“He did throw one of the worst picks ever when they still had an opportunity…this pick was pathetic,” Gio said. “But that’s how bad it’s gotten around here with quarterbacks. Watching Joe Flacco is actually refreshing. It’s pathetic.”
