A big blow perhaps to the Jets’ offense: running back Breece Hall was carted back to the locker room after being injured late in the second quarter, and he has been ruled out for the game with a knee injury.
Hall had a 62-yard touchdown run earlier in the game to put the Jets up 7-0, but was injured on this hit on a first-down run with 3:37 left as the Jets began their final drive of the half:
Hall was unable to put weight on his right leg as he was led off the field.
Michael Carter, who had just one rushing attempt prior to Hall’s exit, took over as the lead back, with Ty Johnson – whose first rushing attempt of the day was nullified by a penalty – also working in. Carter did have a 37-yard reception later on that drive, which led to a field goal that gave the Jets a 10-9 lead at halftime.
Hall finished the day with four carries for 72 yards and that TD, and his injury was the third on the Jets’ offense on the day, as both OL Alijah Vera-Tucker (elbow) and wide receiver Corey Davis (knee) went back to the locker room earlier and are questionable to return in the second half.
