He’s a Heisman Trophy winner, a two-sport athlete, and once again an author – he’s the one and only Tim Tebow, and he popped on Carton & Roberts as part of a day of promoting his new book “Mission Possible: Go Create a Life That Counts,” which was released on Tuesday.

“This is the second one, the first one did pretty great,” Tebow said modestly of his library.

Tebow just came back from a month in Africa, where he was on a humanitarian mission to build a new hospital, orphanages, and safe homes for trafficked girls – and he’s proud to be

“I think you always kind of stay mission driven,” he said. “I’ve always been competitive my whole life, but now for me, it’s steering that drive into things that matter more.”

Of course, Tebow also came in on a big day for quarterbacks in the NFL, as Aaron Rodgers announced he’s staying in Green Bay, and Seattle dealt Russell Wilson to Tebow’s former team, the Broncos, for a huge package of players.

Tim still roots for the team that drafted him and gave him his first NFL playoff win, and he was excited to see a talent like Wilson now part of the Mile High horses.

“To be honest, I love it; I’m a little biased and still root for the Broncos a lot, because the fans are awesome, so loyal and passionate and kind,” he said. “My time there was incredible, and I think Russell going there will bring a lot of life and excitement – and that division is now going to be crazy!”

Tebow also had nice things to say about his one year with the Jets – even if he joked, when Craig couldn’t remember a specific year of an event, “there was a lot to forget about my year here” – and the Gang Green nation.

“I think one of the things you have to say if you’re a Jets fan is you’re loyal because you’re still a Jets fan!” Tebow smiled. “I think they get a bad rap because there are a lot of fans who have stayed loyal and sometimes get frustrated, but I’ve never had an issue with Jets fans. They were one of the best parts of my time as a Jet, and I thought Rex (Ryan) was a great coach who was fun to play for. He was a players’ coach, a guy who’d give a speech and you’d get fired up.”

So, after playing QB in the NFL, then outfield in the minors, and trying out for the Jaguars as a tight end, is Tebow’s NFL career (or even his MLB attempt) officially done?

“I don’t know if you want to say definitely, but probably.”
