Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims has been placed on the COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus, the team announced on Tuesday.
The wide receiver, who has dealt with injury, illness, and struggles to find playing time so far this season, is now in question to be ready for Sunday’s game against the Bills, but he is vaccinated, which means he can return to the team as long as he tests negative twice at least 24 hours apart from each other, and is asymptomatic for 48 hours, per the NFL’s protocols.
The second-round pick has appeared in six games for New York this season, making seven catches for 129 yards and no touchdowns.
