Best part of the Yankees' rough night? John Sterling revealed some unused home run calls

Wanna talk a rough night in New York? Look no further than Tuesday, when the Yankees blew multiple chances to win a game only to lose 9-5 in 12 innings to Cleveland, while the Mets were down to Baltimore early and never had a chance in their own 9-5 loss.

The former was the longest MLB game this year, going over four hours, and Juan Soto’s answer to the Yankees’ offensive struggles outside of him and Aaron Judge is ‘it’s part of the game, and they have a really good pitching staff.’

Baltimore’s win put the Orioles back in first, ruining a night where John Sterling called a couple innings for old times’ sake on John & Suzyn t-shirt night…but at least we got to hear John’s Jazz Chisholm and Alex Verdugo home run calls thanks to the YES broadcast.

And, well, Gio’s rendition of a wild Police song for the latter!

“Dugey delivers? I don’t like it, just a classic alliteration spot,” Gio said of Verdugo’s before the guys had a little fun with an old Jazz Chisholm call from John…

Take a listen to it all above!
