With a matchup against the high-powered Chiefs, the Giants need all the offensive talent that they can find to keep up. Fortunately, the team received good news ahead of kickoff on Monday night.
Wide receivers Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard, both of whom have missed the past two weeks, will be active against Kansas City, providing Daniel Jones with much more firepower than he's had in recent contests. Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay, two other main pieces of the team's offense, were ruled out earlier in the week.
Toney is one of the most electrifying young talents in football, despite a small sample size. His Week 5 explosion against the Dallas Cowboys, in which he posted 10 catches for 189 yards, was one of the brightest spots of the season for the 2-5 Giants. Shepard has had three strong outings on the year, 28 catches for 299 yards across just four games.
The Giants made a handful of other moves prior to the game, including activating third-rounder Aaron Robinson for what will be his debut outing.
