Keith: Jets, Joe Douglas crushed it in first round of NFL Draft
If Keith was giving out draft grades, he would have a very favorable one for Joe Douglas after taking Olu Fashanu with the No. 11 pick.
Keith says Gang Green addressed an area that desperately needed insurance, and the Jets acquired more assets in the process by trading back a pick to give the Vikings the 10th pick.
“Tyron Smith, you can’t bank on,” Keith said. “There’s more shades of Duane Brown, and him not being available.
“Good job, Joe Douglas. This is a deep draft with wide receivers…the jets can draft some star wide receivers later in the draft. But you get the best tackle off the board, you get insurance for Tyron Smith, who could literally be hurt tomorrow.”
Now, Keith says the Jets can address areas of need in the coming rounds this weekend, as plenty of impact wide receivers are still on the board.
“If I’m a Jets fan, I can’t wait for the weekend,” Keith said. “See who else you get.”
