Marcus Stroman sang the praises of Brian Cashman on Thursday, while also posting on his Instagram that he is “locking in” on the 2024 season, so don’t be surprised if he isn’t active on social media until “Thanksgiving.”
It seems like the new Yankee pitcher is saying the right things, but Keith is going to be cautious in buying in to the new Stroman, as he hasn’t forgotten how much the pitcher has clashed with fans, the media, and Cashman himself on Twitter in the past.
“Now he’s singing the praises of Cashman, ‘Cashman’s the man, I’m gonna be honest with you, he’s an incredible human being’ I guess because he ran you $18 million and made your literal life dream come true,” Keith said.
“But we didn’t forget, Marcus. The internet is written in ink, bro.”
Still, Keith is hoping to see a different version of Stroman during his debut season in pinstripes.
“I am rooting for Marcus Stroman,” Keith said. “He’s going to be a topic of conversation on this radio station all season, and next…because he’s a former Met…fans feel a certain way about him, and people don’t forget.”
