Woody Johnson ripped Zach Wilson at the NFL Honors event on Thursday night, saying the Jets didn’t have a backup quarterback this season.
Keith responded by ripping the Jets owner for his short-sighted comments.
“Seventy six-year-old Woody Johnson blaming last season on 24-year-old last season, who he drafted,” Keith said. “Who he kept running out there for three years, when the rest of the league is telling you ‘He’s not ready.’ When your head coach doesn’t have any rhyme or reason for why he’s putting him out there, but he’s gotta play the game to try and keep his job.
“You signed off on that. You went into the season with him as your QB2 knowing he wasn’t good. You get what you get. You make your bed and lie in it too.”
