Kyrie Irving, LaMarcus Aldridge out Monday for Nets vs. Minnesota

James Harden remains out due to a right hamstring strain, but the Brooklyn Nets announced Sunday that both LaMarcus Aldridge and Kyrie Irving will also be out for Monday night's game in Minnesota.

Per the team, Irving is out for "personal reasons/family matter" while Aldridge is out due to a "non-Covid related illness." Those two and Harden join Tyler Johnson, who is out indefinitely with right knee soreness, on the list of players out for Monday.

Irving and Aldridge's absences will leave Brooklyn without two of their three leading scorers from Saturday's loss to the Lakers; Kevin Durant, who just returned on Wednesday after missing 23 games due to a hamstring injury (and 26 of the previous 27 when adding in a stint in the NBA's COVID protocols), led the team with 22 points, and no one else beyond that trio scored more than seven.

Coverage of the Nets-Timberwolves game begins on WFAN at 7:45 p.m. Due to a scheduling overlap with the Yankees, the basketball game will air on WFAN-FM (101.9) only.
