The Mets, and Mets fans, were ecstatic when Kumar Rocker fell to them at No. 10 in the 2021 MLB Draft, and almost immediately, it was rumored that Rocker would sign a deal with a signing bonus worth $6 million – but when the 5 p.m. August 1 deadlien to sign picks came and went, Rocker was not a Met.
