It was not the greatest Monday night on many levels for the Mets; their loss to the Cardinals in St. Louis not only saw Joey Lucchesi pitch poorly and the lights get turned out on them – literally – in the ninth, but it also resulted in hitting coach Chili Davis and assistant hitting coach Tom Slater being dismissed in the early morning hours.
