Joe B was furious with Sunday’s Jets loss, but not all of his angered was geared towards Gang Green.

During his weekly spot with Evan and Tiki on Monday afternoon, Joe called out the league, believing that the NFL got the result it wanted on Sunday with the Raiders coming out on top.

“You’re telling me the Raiders last night, three penalties the whole game? The Raiders, with the pressure the Jets put on, had one penalty all night?” Joe said, before noting what he thought to be a TV broadcast that was too pro-Vegas. “Can they kiss Antonio Pierce’s rear end any more than they did? It was like watching a Raiders infomercial.

“Call me crazy. The league wanted the Raiders to win this game last night. I’m going out on a limb and saying it.”

Tiki wanted to know why the NFL would want the Raiders, who came into the game at just 4-5, to win, and Joe was eager to respond.

“Because it’s the Raiders! It’s the Raider way! It’s just like the old days!” Joe said. “Give me a break.”

The Jets committed eight penalties for 83 yards, many of which seemed clearly warranted, but the Raiders were only flagged three times for 25 yards.
Joe felt that was more evidence of the league’s desire.

“I don’t trust the officials in the NFL. Sorry, I don’t,” Joe said. “The officials have too much control over the game…the league wants the Raiders to be good! They want Vegas to be a place to come.”
