The Dolphins suffered a big blow on Friday at MetLife Stadium by losing linebacker Jaelen Phillips to a torn Achilles in a win over the Jets.

It is yet another log on the fire of controversy surrounding the turf at MetLife, which has led to a load of lower-body injuries, and criticisms that have even come from Jets players themselves, as Garrett Wilson called the turf “garbage” earlier this season.

Boomer has heard that the Jets feel the turf is holding them back when it comes to attracting players to New York.

“I have been told that the Jets feel like it’s harder to attract free agents who are not Aaron Rodgers’ friends to the Jets because of the field and the stadium,” Boomer said. “That was from somebody inside the building.

“I think it’s multiple players.”
