More than 40 players are scheduled to attend Mets Old Timers’ Day in August, and three more recognizable names have been added to the guest list.
The team announced Thursday morning that Howard Johnson, Billy Wagner, and Ken MacKenzie will also be in attendance at Citi Field on Aug. 27, when the franchise hosts its first Old Timers’ Day since 1994.

Other notable members of the Old Timers’ Day roster include Mike Piazza, Daniel Murphy, Mookie Wilson, Endy Chavez, Cliff Floyd, and Robin Ventura.
Johnson played nine seasons with the Mets, from 1985 to 1993, and led the league in home runs and RBI in an All-Star 1991 season. Wagner, a Hall of Fame hopeful, pitched in parts of four seasons in New York, and logged 40 saves in 2006 before being named to back-to-back All-Star teams as a Met.
MacKenzie pitched parts of two seasons with the Mets, and logged 80 innings for the inaugural 1962 squad.
