The Mets have interest in former MVP Andrew McCutchen, according to MLB insider Jon Heyman.
New York, currently with an outfield of Brandon Nimmo, Starling Marte, and Mark Canha, have interest in the 36-year-old as a fourth outfielder for the upcoming season, though it is unclear whether McCutchen would be open to a depth role.

Last season, McCutchen played in 134 games with the Brewers and hit .237 with 17 home runs. He is far from the hitter he was when he earned five straight All-Star selections from 2011 to 2015, but he still can provide some pop, as he hit 27 home runs with the Phillies as recently as 2021.
Even as McCutchen has aged into his late 30s, he has still been able to remain at least a league-average hitter, posting an OPS+ of 106 since the start of the 2019 campaign, six percent above league average.
