The Mets have continued their expected sell-off, reportedly dealing reliever Huascar Brazoban to the White Sox for a pair of prospects, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Per Rosenthal, New York will bring back right-handed pitchers Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin, who were in Double and Triple-A in Chicago's organization, respectively, at the time of the trade. Davis was a top-20 prospect in the White Sox system.
Brazoban has pitched to a 2.56 ERA in 55.2 innings this season, striking out 49 while walking 23 batters. The 36-year-old was acquired from the Marlins in 2024 and finishes his Mets career with a 3.42 ERA.
Davis, 22, was drafted in the fifth round of last year's draft and is pitching to a 5.81 ERA in 18 starts this season, spending time in High-A and Double-A. Franklin, 27, has a 4.37 ERA in 33 appearances, all but one out of the bullpen, at Triple-A this season.
