The Brooklyn Nets announced shortly after Monday night's win that Joe Harris underwent successful left ankle ligament reconstruction surgery, and is expected to make a full recovery and return for next season's training camp.

Per the team, the procedure was performed by noted foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson - the same doctor who worked on Derek Jeter's ankle in 2012-13 - in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Harris appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 11.3 points and 4.0 rebounds. He last played on Nov. 14 due to the injury, with GM Sean Marks finally revealing earlier this month that Harris would miss the remainder of the season.

"Although Joe worked diligently over the past several months to rehab his ankle and exhausted every possible avenue in order to get back on the court with his teammates," Marks said in the statement. "It has been determined that he will require an additional arthroscopic surgery in the coming weeks. While it is expected that Joe will make a full recover following the procedure, it will unfortunately result in him missing the remainder of the regular season and playoffs."
