Looks like there’s a reason the Kevin Durant trade is still “pending.”

Per NBA insider Shams Charania, the Brooklyn Nets are sending Jae Crowder, one of the players they’re reportedly acquiring from Phoenix in the pending Durant trade, to the Milwaukee Bucks for five – yes, FIVE – future second-round picks.
And that's not all - Shams further reports that Indiana is acquiring Milwaukee's Jordan Nwora and two second-round picks as part of this multi-team puzzle, so two of those five picks the Nets are getting could be headed to Indiana to facilitate it all, and the Pacers will waive Goga Bitadze to make room for Nwora.
The Bucks have two second-rounders in each of the next two years – their own, plus Portland’s in 2024 and the less favorable of Golden State or Cleveland’s this summer – and one each in 2025, 2027, 2028, and 2029.
Brooklyn is reportedly getting four first-round picks and “additional draft compensation” from Phoenix in the Durant deal, per Charania – with the first-rounders reportedly in 2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029, per RealGM.com – and got a 2027 second-round pick and 2029 picks in both rounds from Dallas in the Kyrie Irving deal, so GM Sean Marks is rebuilding some serious draft capital for a team that entered the week having full control over exactly one draft pick – their 2026 second-rounder – over the next four years.
