Henrik Lundqvist, to the surprise of no one, is a Hockey Hall of Famer.

The class of 2023 was announced on Wednesday afternoon, and in his first year of eligibility, he was voted in alongside Tom Barrasso, Caroline Ouellette, Pierre Turgeon, Mike Vernon, Ken Hitchock, and Pierre Lacroix.

Lundqvist was an easy choice, having put together a phenomenal career between the pipes, mainly for the Rangers. The sixth-winningest goaltender in NHL history, Lundqvist finished his 15-year career with 459 wins, a .918 save percentage, and an appearance in the Stanley Cup with the Blueshirts in 2014. In his postseason career, Lundqvist logged 64 career shutouts in 61 games.

Lundqvist’s No. 30 already hangs in the rafters at Madison Square Garden.

On the rival Devils’ side, Patrik Elias and Alexander Mogilny were not voted in this year.
