The poised and experienced Lightning have won back-to-back Stanley Cups, are halfway to a third straight title, and are coming off a series sweep of the top team in the Eastern Conference.
But on Wednesday night, the dynasty-hungry Bolts were wiped off the ice by a group of kids.

The Rangers’ Kid Line was at it again in game one of the Eastern Conference Final, with 22-year-old Filip Chytil scoring twice in a row in the second period to turn a 2-2 tie into a 4-2 cushion in a window of five minutes. The first goal game on a feed from 20-year-old linemate Kaapo Kakko, and the second on a cross-ice pass from 22-year-old K’Andre Miller to cap off a dominant shift that the Kid Line have made a habit out of in this postseason.
The line of Chytil, Kakko, and Alexis Lafreniere logged five points in the 6-2 win, but their dominant shift leading to Chytil’s second goal was as dominant as they come, consistently holding the zone before Chytil buried a one-time off the feed from Miller.
“They got inside, they scored some nice goals and made some plays,” head coach Gerard Gallant said. “They're a confident bunch of kids right now, and we need that to continue.”
