Report: Jets turning down trade offers for Denzel Mims

As Denzel Mims continues to see more playing time with the Jets in recent weeks, the team is reportedly turning down all trade offers for the second-year wide receiver.

According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Gang Green has received multiple calls about the former second-round pick, and the Jets have consistently responded with a resounding “no” when it comes to potential trades.

With the trade deadline set to hit at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, it looks like Mims will be staying put.

After being a non-factor for the team earlier in the season, Mims reportedly was receiving trade interest as early as Week 2, but the Jets appear to be hanging on to him. Sunday was the fourth game in a row that Mims was on the active roster after consistently, and confusingly, being held out earlier in the year. His snap ratio on Sunday more than doubled its count from Week 7, as Mims capitalized on more playing time due to Corey Davis’ injury.

Mims caught two passes for 30 yards in Sunday’s win on three targets.
