The Nets are reportedly playing on Christmas Day, and they appear to have another notable matchup scheduled for the upcoming season.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Brooklyn will be tipping off the new season with a road matchup against the Bucks on Oct. 19, which will air on TNT. The additional game of the season-opening doubleheader will be the Warriors at the Lakers.

Both games are a rematch of postseason bouts from this past season. Giannis Antetokounmpo eliminated the shorthanded Nets in seven games in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, while LeBron James and the Lakers took down the Warriors in the play-in tournament. James drilled a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute to seal the victory over Golden State.

The Nets will be looking for some payback against the defending champion Bucks, and will hope to be at full strength this time after finishing their playoff series without Kyrie Irving and with a hobbled James Harden.
