Rutgers basketball has made one of its biggest recruiting splashes in recent memory, as the highly coveted recruit has committed to the Scarlet Knights, according to ESPN basketball insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Harper, a Don Bosco product, will be staying in New Jersey to play for Steve Piekiell, and joins another top-ranked recruit in Ace Bailey, who is ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the nation by Rivals.

Harper is ranked No. 2 in the nation ESPN and 247 Sports, and is the top-ranked guard in the country per those rankings.

Harper chooses Rutgers over Duke, Indiana, Auburn, and Kansas, as the Scarlet Knights beat out multiple blue blood schools for the Jersey native.

With Harper and Bailey on the way, the future is bright in Piscataway, and the 2024-25 season will be one of the most anticipated seasons in program history.
