Noah Vedral's first drive back as Rutgers starting QB couldn't have gone much better

Noah Vedral looked mighty impressive on his first drive as Rutgers' starting quarterback this season.

Playing against his former school after transferring from Nebraska in 2020, Vedral's first pass of the season was a 33-yard dime to Shameen Jones to put the Scarlet Knights on the move to open the game, and minutes later, ran for a 21-yard touchdown to give Rutgers an early 7-0 lead.

Vedral made a pair of defenders miss before lowering his shoulder and falling into the pylon for the score, showing off his arm and legs all in one drive after missing the first four games of the season with an upper body injury.

Vedral, a sixth-year graduate transfer, played just four snaps last weekend at Ohio State, but never attempted a throw. He threw for 1,813 yards last season in 13 games in his debut season with the Scarlet Knights, and his first start since that season got off to a nice start.
