E.J. earned the start after an impressive showing off the bench last weekend against Lafayette, completing 14 of 19 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. He completed four of his first eight passes against the Scarlet Knights to begin his special day, helping orchestrate a 12-play drive that resulted in an early touchdown and a 7-0 lead for Temple.

E.J. wasn’t a coveted college recruit, playing his high school career at Brophy Prep in Phoenix.
