Sal: Drafting Brock Bowers at 10th overall would be 'such a typical Jets pick'

BT is calling for the Jets to take tight end Brock Bowers with the No. 10 pick on Thursday, and says it would be a “perfect” pick to get Aaron Rodgers another legitimate weapon that would also be a long-term solution at the position.

Sal wants no part of it for Gang Green.

“It would be such a typical Jets pick. No way,” Sal said. “They need more! Get an offensive lineman!

“Anything but a tight end. I’m not taking a tight end with the 10th pick.”

Sal says the Jets taking Bowers would mean they believe their roster is set aside from tight end, which he isn’t buying, especially not after the holes that were exposed on last year’s roster once Rodgers went down.

“The Jets thinking is ‘We’re complete, let’s add a luxury piece with the 10th pick and hope he’s gonna be a transcendent and game changing.’ Bullcrap,” Sal said. “They could use another receiver and an offensive lineman. I would rather draft an offensive lineman that’s gonna be here for the next 10-15 years…not a tight end.”
