Kayvon Thibodeaux has heard plenty of “bust” concerns in the early parts of this season, but the former fifth overall pick logged 1.5 sacks on Sunday, raising his season total to 5.5.
Still, BT and Sal couldn’t believe Thibodeaux dropped a sure interception that would have sealed Sunday’s win, and neither see traits that would make for a difference-maker on defense, which Big Blue hoped it acquired when he was drafted in the top five.
“Kayvon Thibodeaux stinks. I’m tired of him running his mouth,” Sal said. “He’s not a big, physical presence. What does he do? He runs his mouth. He dresses nicely and run his mouth. Pick the ball off, you knucklehead. It’s right there…I could have caught that ball. Make the play. For a guy who was a top pick and talks as much as he does.
“A game where they get 45 sacks, Kayvon Thibodeaux is known for dropping a pick six. He stinks…there is nothing about his game that jumps out to me.”
BT doesn’t have as much of a problem with Thibodeaux’s talk off the field, but he is in full agreement when it comes to Thibodeaux’s ability on the field.
“He’s just not very fast,” BT said. “He’s not explosive.”
