Sal rips state of Jets after Patriots loss: 'They are an embarrassment'

The Jets lost in disastrous fashion on Sunday afternoon, allowing the Patriots to come back and stun New York for a fifth straight loss, all but ending Gang Green’s hopes of ending their painful playoff drought.

Sal couldn’t believe the Jets have sunk to a new low in a season that was supposed to be one of their most successful seasons in years, and he went off on the entire franchise to open Monday’s show.

“Somehow, the Jets went from Robert Saleh and Zach Wilson to being worse this year with Aaron Rodgers and Jeff Ulbrich,” Sal said. “They are an embarrassment. I don’t know how you continue to do it as a Jets fan.

“Every move they made, they’ve gotten worse! Firing Robert Saleh was the worst thing they could have done at that time! Ulbrich is in over his head.”

The Jets have indeed taken a step back in recent weeks since firing Saleh, and are now 2-6 in a season where expectations were higher than they have been in seemingly decades. It only adds to the pained history of this franchise, and Sal says there is seemingly no way to fix things this season.

“They stink! They’re not one or two players away,” Sal said.
“It is a disaster, and they are in too deep! The Jets are screwed. They’re worse now with a healthy Aaron Rodgers than they were a year ago. How is that possible?”
