One Tuesday caller really, really needed to vent about Angel Hernandez to Tiki and Tierney.
So much so, that Sandy waited on the line for over an hour to make sure her voice was heard.
After Hernandez’s brutal night behind the plate in the Phillies/Brewers game, Sandy wanted to take a break from Nets and Mets chatter to revisit Hernandez, widely regarded as one of the worst umpires in Major League Baseball.
“He just gets under my skin,” Sandy said. “When he’s behind the plate, oh does he get under my skin.”
Tiki and Tierney completely agreed with the frustration, and got a kick out of Sandy saying that instead of calling strikes and balls, Hernandez should be playing with his own.
“Why do they put him behind the plate?” Sandy said. “Excuse me, I’m a good girl, but he should be just getting his own balls.”
