The first Jets rookie signing is their first draft pick of 2022.
Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, taken fourth overall in last month’s NFL Draft, signed his rookie contract on Saturday, the team announced. Per the Jets, the cornerback became the quickest first-round pick to sign his rookie deal in 40 years, signing a day sooner than Leonard Williams back in 2015.
The deal is for four years, and will net the Cincinnati product $38.7 million, with a $25.3 million signing bonus.
