New York City was expecting a historic party on Thursday with the Knicks championship parade, and the day did not disappoint.

The city estimated millions of fans filled Broadway and the Canyon of Heroes as the 2026 Knicks made their trek to city hall to commemorate the organization's first championship in 53 years. Ten thousand NYPD officers were deployed, and announced that the parade route had reached capacity hours before the start of the parade. Once it began, it was an all-out party to honor Jalen Brunson and company.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani honored the team with keys to the city and a rousing speech in front of City Hall, and Alicia Keys performed to wrap up the ceremony. Head coach Mike Brown, owner James Dolan, president Leon Eose, and Brunson were among the others to speak in front of the jubilant crowd.

Knicks legends such as Patrick Ewing, Bernard King, John Starks, Latrell Sprewell, and several others were on hand, while Karl-Anthony Towns wielded the Bob Cousy Trophy, Trey Jamison carried the NBA Cup, and Rick Brunson brought in the Larry O'Brien Trophy before handing it off to his son.

The celebrity presence was robust as well, as superfans such as Timothee Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Mariska Hargitay, and Tracy Morgan occupied floats that made the trek to City Hall.
