Wilson set a Gang Green record against the Jaguars, thanks to this 52-yard touchdown scamper on a breakdown on a third-and-five play:

That 52-yard run not only single-handedly set a season rushing high for Wilson – he hadn’t had more than 33 yards in a game this year total – but also marked the longest touchdown run by a QB in Jets history.

The previous record? Sam Darnold’s memorable 46-yard run in last year’s Thursday nighter against the Denver Broncos, in what was at the time a battle of winless teams.

Wilson also broke another 17-yard run on a 4th-and-2 play late in the first half, and ended up with 92 yards on four carries – nearly tripling his best previous output of the season on the ground and nearly equaling what he did in the air on Sunday, as he had just 102 yards passing.

The best part? The Jets held on to win 26-21, making the day even sweeter for two fans in attendance: Ritz Diner waitress Kensia Thelusma and her son Scott, who were gifted game tickets from Wilson himself after he enjoyed breakfast at the Livingston eatery on Christmas morning.
