Tiki & Tierney: When is realistic Aaron Judge return date?

When do the Tiki and Tierney crew expect Aaron Judge to return to the Yankees?

Tiki’s answer was not a favorable one.

“Next year,” Tiki said bluntly, to the surprise of BT. “Brian Cashman surprised everybody, aggressively refuting Bret Boone’s assertion that Judge would be back soon after the All-Star break. I wasn’t worried about it until Cashman said something. Well, I was worried, but I thought he’d be back after the trade deadline.

“It makes me feel like surgery is that next thing they’re contemplating. Healing on its own, that’s one thing. But when you’re 6-foot-7 and 280 pounds, and you’re actually trying to go through things, it’s just not gonna feel right. I think surgery might be on the table now.”

Judge has thrown in the outfield, hit off a tee and done some soft toss, but he doesn’t appear close to a return. So, the idea that he is done for the year is no longer as big a shock to BT, but he still believes Judge will return to make an impact on the Yanks in 2023.

“I was gonna say Aug. 1,” BT said.
