Albert Abreu is a Yankee…again.

The Yanks announced Tuesday that they have claimed the righty pitcher after he was designated for assignment by the Royals, bringing the 26-year-old back to New York.

The move also means the Yankees have already gotten back half of the return package they sent to the Rangers in the offseason trade for Jose Trevino, in what was already one of the steals of the offseason.

New York had traded Abreu and minor leaguer Robby Ahlstrom for Trevino back on April 2, and Abreu was later dealt to Kansas City for minor leaguer Yohanse Morel.

Abreu has pitched just 13 innings this season, walking 16 and allowing five earned runs. In two seasons with the Yankees, he pitched to a 5.68 ERA in 38 innings of work.

The Yanks also designated pitcher David McKay for assignment.
