The Yankees reportedly avoided arbitration with all but one eligible player: Gleyber Torres.

Per multiple reports, the Yankees settled with Frankie Montas, Nestor Cortes, Jose Trevino, Kyle Higashioka, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Lou Trivino, Jonathan Loaisiga, Wandy Peralta, Domingo German, Clay Holmes, and Michael King. Torres is the only one left, and according to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Yankees offered $9.7 million to Torres, while Torres countered with $10.2 million. The Yankees later confirmed all of the signings, Torres not among them.

An arbitration hearing could be on the horizon, something the Yankees have largely been able to avoid in recent years, but with just $500,000 separating the two sides, they could also simply meet in the middle and avoid any potential ugliness.

Torres looked to be back to his All-Star self in 2022 before faltering in the second half and into the postseason. He finished with a .761 OPS and 24 home runs, certainly better than the previous two seasons, when he took a dramatic fall from the start of his career, when he was an All-Star in each of his first two seasons.

Montas, who battled a shoulder injury and struggled in his half season with the Yanks, will make $7.5 million in 2023, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, while Holmes will make $3.3 million and Cortes gets a big pay pump to $3.2 million.

According to Heyman, Higashioka will make just under $1.5 million, while fellow catcher Trevino will make $2.36 million. Heyman also reported Loaisiga settling at just over $2.26 million, and Peralta at $3.35 million. Per Feinsand, German settled at $2.6 million, and King $1.3 million.
