There were no takers for Clint Frazier, as the former Yankee outfielder has cleared waivers and will be outrighted to Triple-A after accepting the assignment from the Cubs.
Frazier could have elected for free agency, but instead will report to Iowa. He signed a $1.5 million deal with Chicago this past offseason after being released by the Yankees.

The former hyped prospect has battled concussions and slumps for much of his career, and missed time this season due to an appendectomy, and was hitting just .216 at the major league level this season.
The Cubs are a team going nowhere fast, so Frazier could have decided that it was best to stay put and hope he is called up later this season after the team sells at the deadline.
