“I wanted to take the time off that we had and take advantage… learn some new skills that I wouldn’t ever had time to do if we were touring,” Dustin told Audacy’s Katie Neal. “My most recent endeavor is working on my private pilot’s license. I’m hard at work learning how to fly planes.”

Don't doubt Lynch will get plenty of use from a private pilot’s license with touring revving up again and shows starting to fill up the calendars of Country fans nationwide. While Lynch hasn’t announced any plans for a formal 2021 tour, he does have a handful of live shows lined up that have him ready to hit the road, or should we say skies?

“It’s honestly a lot harder than I thought it would be,” Dustin shared. “There’s a lot going on and the stakes are so high… I’ve got a ways to go before I feel comfortable taking someone up and down.”

Ok, so maybe he’s not quite ready to launch his own airline (yet), but what he is ready for is new music!

“This year is kind of just going to be a trail of releases for me,” he explained. “I’m wanting to put out new music every, you know, couple months if I can, or every month if I can… We’re hard at work… really close to having an album done.”

In the waiting, Lynch’s fans have plenty to enjoy with Dustin’s new version of “Thinking ‘Bout You (feat. Mackenzie Porter),” and other favorites from his most recent album, Tullahoma.

While Dustin is working on new music and proud of what he has most recently released, he still holds his very first single release, “Cowboys And Angels,” (which we wrote about his grandparents) extremely close.

“It is inspired by their love story,” Dustin shared. “They’re two of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life, they’re goals! Having their song to sing every night no matter where we are in the world is just so special.”
