“Honestly… I didn’t know no other way to tell my story to be honest with you. And I had to tell it as quick as possible because I’m ready to move on to the next chapter,” Lola said of her latest project.
While she prefers to look at the album as a whole, when asked which of the tracks she considers to be her “baby,” Lola obliged, sharing that it’s “Dear Dennis.”
Talking about the song, Lola admitted, “I was being very vulnerable, because it’s something that I’ve been battling for a very long time, since my father has been deceased. So I just wanted to show the world that I’m still bonded with him and hopefully this project help me get some type of closure.”
Lola went on to discuss the versatility she shows on her album, sharing how she “didn’t choose rap, rap chose me,” and the story of how she got signed, plus a whole lot more.
