The streets of Tampa, Florida, were flooded last night with maskless fans celebrating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl LV win.
Videos and photos show fans flouting social distancing guidelines and not wearing face masks after the Buccaneers slammed the Kanas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
Postgame celebrations brought thousands to Downtown Tampa, where unmasked fans celebrated in large groups.

Chief Brian Dugan of the Tampa Police Department released a statement on Twitter. Dugan said that the “government is trying to keep the economy running, but at the same time we’re trying to keep the virus in check.”
“But we need people to just cooperate and think this through,” he added.
In another part of Tampa, people partied into the early hours of the morning. Several videos show few were wearing masks. However, it was not clear whether or not any effort was made to disperse the crowd.
A reporter on the scene described it as “one massive dance floor.”
Mayor Jane Castor of Tampa said she was frustrated by the lack of mask-wearing.
“It is a little frustrating because we worked so hard,” Castor said.
