Sponsored by the sports gambling company DraftKings, “The Game” is filled with hard-hitting bars and basketball-inspired wordplay. With looming 808s and contrasting orchestral violins thanks to the production of Buda & Grandsz, Mike Kuz, and SetfreeJadakissStyles P, Rick Ross, and Fat Joe draw parallels between graduating the streets to the music industry to athletes striving for a win.

“There’s nothing like the feeling of being in the building / All of a sudden the good guys turn into the villains / Pure satisfaction inside of the action / See it in the games, feel it in the captions / This is full-contact, winning is a contract,” Jadakiss rhymes.

While Ricky Rozay comes in with, “Living like I’m Young Thugga, winning shot at the buzzer / Do it all for my n****s, VIP for my mother / This one just for the books / Top off just for the looks, I’m rocking my jewels / We have similar dreams but make different mistakes.”

Fat Joe also has his turn, capping off the triumphant anthem, incorporating gambling into his verse, as a metaphor for betting on himself.

“All I see the glory and the room filled with all the applause / No excuses, all I see is winners tonight and the truth is I wanna see the winners unite / Damn dawg, why you always happy what’s the big occasion? / Life’s great and I’m feeling amazing / You fall for anything if you waiting for help, me, I stand tall because I bet on myself.”
